Janice Lynn Wells Morris, 68, of Terre Haute, IN. entered eternal rest on March 2, 2024. Janice was born on August 12, 1955, to Frank and Ellen Wells in Terre Haute, Indiana. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1974. She was baptized at an early age at Spruce Street AME Church in Terre Haute, IN. Janice worked at Columbia Records, Union Hospital and retired from Wal-Mart. She loved spending time with family and friends.  Janice is survived by her husband Mike Morris; son Mark (Danielle) Bass, Indianapolis, IN.; daughters Monica Bass Terre Haute, IN. and Taunja (Tremayne) Demmings, Indianapolis, IN.; brothers Larry (Joyce) Wells, Mitchellville, Maryland and Jerry Wells, Jacksonville, Florida; sisters Brenda Fortson ,Terre Haute, IN and Shirley Edwards, Indianapolis, IN.; special sister-like cousins Clara Walton, Terre Haute, In and Bonnie Lomax, Upper Marlboro, Maryland; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 God grandchildren; 2 God great children; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members, as well as a long time best friend Betty Littlepage, Lafayette, IN.  Janice is proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Ellen Wells and her sister Sarah Ann Wells Gabriel (Frank). Memorial Services are on March 22, 2024, at Samaritan Funeral Home 2425 Wabash Avenue Terre Haute, IN. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 pm with services from 7:00 – 8:00 pm, and a Celebration of Life at Miller's Cove Bar and Lounge 3101 Schaal Avenue Terre Haute, IN immediately following.
