Janice Louise Hamilton Phillips, 85, went to be with the Lord May 11, 2021. She was born July 30, 1935 in Champaign, IL, to Lawrence and Janet (Pinkerton) Hamilton.

Janice grew up in Chicago met and married Peter Priest; they had 4 children and moved to Terre Haute in 1962. Janice worked for Terre Haute Regional Hospital for 33 years. She remarried to John Williams Phillips in 1988.

She was a talented needle artist, seamstress, and crafter. She loved making and giving gifts to her family. She helped her family in every way she could. She was an avid reader all her life and donated hundreds of books to libraries. She loved flowers, butterflies, and birds.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband John and her eldest daughter Charity Johnson. She is survived by her children Cathey (Bruce) Eberly, Peter (Yelena) Priest II, and Cynthia Priest; grandchildren Chris (Jessica), Mindy (Devon), April, David, Kristen (Kyle); great-grandchildren Brennen, Casey, Jared, Scarlett, Francesca, and Olivia.
