Jewell "Higginbotham" Hutson, 70, of Terre Haute passed away at home on Monday, May 16, 2022.  She was born November 28, 1951 to James and Cathryn Higginbotham who preceded her.  Jewell is survived by her husband Tim, sons Nathan Kleege of South Dakota and Sam Kleege of North Carolina; brothers Jimmy Higginbotham of Worthington, Indiana and Dee Higginbotham of Brazil, Indiana;  half-brother Ron Jezuit of St. John, Indiana, and sister Verda Reed of Richmond, Kentucky.

Jewell graduated from Honey Creek High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue, and a Master of Science from Indiana State University.  She worked as a mental health counselor at Carlisle and Rockville Prisons.
