John Martin Boyke, 78, passed away on February 12, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1947 in Terre Haute to John J. Boyke and Martha A. (Crowley) Boyke. John married Patricia (Fry) Boyke on April 19, 1969.

John was a self-employed truck driver and operating engineer through the Local Union 841. He loved hunting, fishing, and mowing. In his 60s, he enjoyed racing in drag races.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, son John Michael Boyke (Leslie), daughter Tammy Lee Kelsheimer (Dennis), daughter-in-law Pam Boyke, brother-in-law Mick Rukes, nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives.

He is preceded in death by both parents, son Joseph Martin Boyke, sisters Anna Rukes and Martha Taylor (George), and two great-grandchildren.
