John Cox, 67, passed away on August 16, 2021.  He was born on October 23, 1953 in Kansas City, KS to Fred Cox and Phyllis Longstreth Cox.  John was preceded in death by his mother; Sister Susan Atterson and her husband Larry; Brother-in-law Jack Fry; Nephew Robert Bergfeld as well his niece Olivia Paauwe.  He is survived by his father Fred Cox (Pamela); Sisters Sandy Fry, Betsy Paauwe (Engelbert), Brenda Cox (Cairy Oxendine); Sep-sister Elizabeth Rubacha (Matthew), as well as 14 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.  John was a past Mason, Scottish Rite, York Rite, past member of Eastern Star and past Guardian of Job's Daughters.  He enjoyed playing pool, bowling, fishing, golfing, and picking on his sisters.  John was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.  Visitation for John will be held on Thursday, August 19 from 2-4:30 PM with services starting at 4:30 PM.  Pastor Ken Coffman will be officiating.
