John Carol Frederick, 77, of Terre Haute passed away Friday November 25, 2016 in his residence. He managed Suburban Ready Mix, he then worked for Carrie Concrete and eventually retired from Prairie Concrete. John was born October 12, 1939 in Terre Haute to Bernie Frederick and Julia (Bell) Frederick. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Carter) Frederick; a daughter, Jody Givens; grandsons, Nick Givens (Ashley) and Jon Givens and a great grandson, Maddox Givens. He was president of Home Builders Association and was inducted into the Home Builders Association Hall of Fame. He was also past president of the Terre Haute Quarter Midget Association and inducted into the THQMA Hall of Fame. Racing was a huge part of life for him and his family. He traveled and raced with his family for 28 years. Those were some of the best moments. He treated his grandchildren like his own children. His grandchildren, wife, and daughter said that He is the best and greatest man they have ever known. As per John's request there is are no services scheduled and cremation has been chosen.
