Obituary

John B Hayworth was born on March 1, 1945 and left this earth on February 17, 2024.


He is survived by his wife Connie (Fidler) Hayworth, daughter Angelic Sulejmani (Faruk), granddaughter Aly Payne, grandson Marcus Payne (Callie), sister-in-law Laura Hayworth (Byron), sister-in-law Sandi Wells, favorite brother (in-law) Gregg Wells, and several nieces and nephews.


John was preceded in death by his brother Byron Hayworth, father Dirrelle "Heavy" Hayworth, mother Virginia "Blu" Hayworth, and their Cocker Spaniel Sir Buffington.


John graduated from North Central (Farmersburg) Class of 63'. He and Connie, who he lovingly nicknamed "Jo" joined each other in union on June 25, 1966. He found his work family at Hall Bros. Transportation, which he retired from in 2011 as senior VP.


In the years following his retirement, John and Connie moved to Southwest Florida. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, driving his golf cart, and watching basketball as a devoted Purdue Boilermaker fan.


A visitation will be held at Farmersburg United Methodist (located at 318 W Main St., Farmersburg, IN 47850) on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a celebration of life service to follow at 3:00 pm.
