John F. McGrew, 72, of West Terre Haute passed away Friday September 3, 2021 in his residence. He was born January 26, 1949 in Terre Haute to Joseph Owen and Dora Frances (Nowling) McGrew. John is survived by his loving wife, Helen Anne (English) McGrew; daughter, Vicki McGrew York (Kevin); sons, Jay McGrew (Kirsten) and Shaun McGrew (Leslie); sisters, Patricia McCullough, Betty Hayden, and Barbara Fields; sisters-in-law, Connie Jones, Judith Maloof, Marilyn English, Rebecca Dawson (Art), and Cathy Whited (Roy); grandchildren, Dustin Doss, Lacey Sullivan, Adam McGrew, Richie Creasey (Kaylee), Logan McGrew (Taylor), Jordan McGrew (Isabella), Connor McGrew, Leah McGrew, Kaden McGrew, Trevor Lewis, and Hayleigh Thompson (Tyler); special friend, Orbie Dawson (Sandy); several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends that were like family. John was in a special fishing club where his  little friend Kassie was the President. He loved fishing, mushroom hunting and picking on his grandkids. John also loved helping out the farmers that lived around him. There will be a Celebration of Life in the Spring, which was John's favorite time of the year.
