John Willard Pace, 86, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022 at Union Hospital.  He was born on May 7, 1936 to Willard and Edith Pace.  John was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 35 years, Janet Sullivan Pace; brothers Everett, Paul, Phillip Pace.  He is survived by his children Terry Luken of Terre Haute, Jay Pace of Beech Grove, Theresa Brannon (Cliff) of Linton, and Jana Pace of Terre Haute; sisters Jo Ann Clark of Vincennes, Barbara Barton of Carmel; brother Frank Pace (Jeanie) of Vincennes; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; special companion Jennie Kitchell of Vincennes.  John proudly served his country in the Marine Corps. John was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a member of the American Legion.  He was an avid euchre player and loved bird watching.  John retired after 27 years of service at Eli Lilly in Clinton, IN.  He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his youngest daughter's softball team in Mecca, IN.  John loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed family gatherings.  Labor Day family reunions were always something he looked forward to each year.  John will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.
