John was preceded in death by his parents Carlo and Doris Sereno.
He is survived by his daughter Sarah Mateen (Sereno), his son-in law Waleed Mateen, and grandson Khalid Mateen; close friends John Burk, Mark and Debbie Kearschner, John Eisman.
John was a longtime member of the Murdock Club and Union Local 157 Plumbers & Steamfitters.
He was an extremely hard worker and a great friend to those who knew him. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was also a master carpenter, avid gardener, and motorcycle enthusiast. John loved to tell stories and make people laugh.
He will greatly be missed. His celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
