John C. Terhune, 85, formally of Dugger, IN and Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away Sunday, October 30 at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, IN.  John was born May 10, 1937, the son of Ollie and Flora Terhune Borders.  He was a 1955 graduate of Dugger Union High School and entered the US Air Force in 1956.  He continued his career with the 181st Tactical Fighter Group at Hulman Field and retired from civilian service at NSWC Crane in May 1992.  He later retired as a SMSgt from the Indiana Air National Guard.  John was a PUFL member of the American Legion and a former volunteer fire fighter.  He was preceded in death by his parents; 2nd wife Sandra; brothers Earl "Pete" and Thomas Terhune; sisters Evelyn "Jane" Simmons, Vanessa Thompson, and two infant sisters.  Survivors include his daughter Julia Shipman (Alan); son Jan Wayman; grandsons Kyle and Kristopher Shipman; sisters Martha Goodman and Kaye Bedwell, along with several nieces and nephews.  Per John's wishes there will be no services.  Cremation was chosen.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus and Southern Care Hospice for their caregiving and support.
