Jon C. "Chris" McKinney, 62, of Terre Haute passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Vincent Heart Center in Carmel, Indiana.  He was born January 1, 1959 in Cairo, Missouri to Richard W. McKinney and Freida Wolfe McKinney.  Chris was an ordained Christian minister and owned his own lawn care and property management business.  He was a talented musician and played both the piano and the trumpet.  He also was a praise and worship leader, coach, and lifetime NRA member.  Most of all he was a loving husband and father.  Chris loved watching his kids play sports.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Erika McKinney, his mother Freida McKinney, sons Jon Carver McKinney and Caden RyLee McKinney; daughter Carah Grace McKinney, brothers Rand McKinney and Mark McKinney (Kazanne); sisters Lana Lucas and Gena Robuck (Rob).  Chris is preceded in death by his father Richard McKinney and brother-in-law Larry Lucas.
