It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Hamilton on February 6, 2025, at the age of 76. Joe passed away at 9:53pm at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, Indiana. Joseph was born on June 25, 1948, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Crawford and Barbara (Trent) Hamilton.
January 1967 Joseph married the love of his life Ann Toni Hamilton. They moved to Brazil, Indiana and that is where they spent their life together. Joseph and Ann spent many years together traveling and raising two wonderful children, Lorie and Brian.
Joseph was a lifetime member of the Vigo County Conservation Club for over 40 years, where he enjoyed spending time at his cabin. Joe had many friends at the Conservation Club and would spend many of his weekends there. In his spare time Joseph would also call bingo at the VFW in Brazil before they moved to a new location.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Crawford Hamilton and Barbara (Trent) Hamilton. His loving wife Ann Toni Hamiliton. Brothers Billy Hamilton, Michael Hamilton and Tommy Hamilton. Sisters Mary Jo Hamilton, Della (Hamilton) Piller.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Lorie (David) Traver, and Son Brian (Candi) Hamilton. Grandchildren, Whitney (Bobby Pierce) Koukol, Kersandra (Tyler Smith) Traver, Rachel (David) Pounds, Christopher (Brittany Bendekovich) Hamilton, Jacob Stevenson and John (Christina) Stevenson. Great Grandchildren who he adored Jaylen, Madaline, Weston, Avary, Elijah, Jenna, Layla and Mazie. Brothers, Bobby Hamilton, Charles Hamilton, Johnny Hamilton, Patrick Hamilton and Donald Hamilton. Sisters, Donna Kay Hamilton and Mabel Hamilton.
The family would like to thank Cloverleaf Healthcare for all the care that you provided Joe over the last 4 years and ViaQuest Hospice for caring for Joe during the last days of his life.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, on February 21, 2025, at Harmony Community Center from 4pm-8pm.
