Obituary

Joseph Paul Bukovack III, 46, was born April 22, 1977 to Joseph Bukovack Jr. and Mary E. Boland (Bill) at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana.

Joey is survived by his daughter, Sydney Bukovack, and sister, Casey Bukovack. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Bernie McGuinness (Karen), Patrick McGuinness, and Arlene Jennings (Ron). Many cousins including Chris Jennings (Tiffany), Ryanne (Jennings) Revercomb, Bernie McGuinness (Jenn), Maureen Sampson (Scott), Kristen Mills (Zach), Kevin McGuinness, Michael McGuinness (Becca), Claire Staton (Casey), and Patrick McGuinness (fiancé Lindsey Howard).

Those who preceded him in death, include grandparents, Bernard and Mary McGuinness, Joseph and Francis Bukovack, Uncle Kevin McGuinness, Aunt Mary Cooper, and cousin Nicolas McGuinness.

Joey left an indelible mark on the local sports scene, achieving a notable accomplishment by holding a doubles record at Terre Haute North High School. His prowess on the tennis court not only earned his recognition but also paved the way for a scholarship to play tennis in college, a testament to his talent, dedication, and unwavering determination.

As a son, brother, and father, he brought joy to his family, his spirit reflecting the resilience of the teams he passionately supported. His love for the Michigan Wolverines and the Kansas City Chiefs was unwavering, serving as a beacon of hope amidst life's challenges.

Though he faced his share of struggles, his legacy as an accomplished athlete and a loving family member will forever endure. May his memory continue to inspire those who knew him, and may he find eternal peace in the courts and fields of his beloved teams. Farewell, dear brother, father, and son. Your presence will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved you.


A visitation will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Samaritan Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
