Joseph P. Wythe, 62, passed away February 11, 2022.  He was born on July 24, 1959 to Joseph Wythe Jr.  and Shirley Wythe.  Joseph was preceded in death by both parents; first wife Pam Wythe; daughter Lisa Marie Wythe Smit.  He is survived by his wife Jami Kilmis-Wythe; sons Michael Wythe (Shannon), Adam Wythe (Kayanna), Justin Wythe (Rachael); grandchildren Ella Wythe, Xander Wythe, Meghan Dargewich, Owen Dargewich, and Samantha Capp; stepsons Jeremy Capp and Joshua Capp (Karli); brother John Wythe (Tiffany); son-in-law Brian Smit.  Joseph was a truck driver for over 30 years.  Joseph, (J.P.) was SAL Squadron Commander of Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261 and 1st District Commander of Detachment of Indiana.  He was a member of American Legion Post 406 in Wheatfield, IN and FOE #274 Eagles Lodge Brazil, IN.  He was an avid motorcycle rider. He loved spending time with his family.  A celebration of life for Joseph will be held at a later date.
