Patricia Bitts Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully at her home in Terre Haute surrounded by her husband and family. She was born June 16, 1938 to Wayne C. and Stella Smith. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Arthur C. Bitts, JR (Terre Haute). She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Johnson, four brothers: Brian (Tam) Smith, Indianapolis; Terry (Maryanne) Smith, Henderson, KY; Bruce (Lora) Smith, Greenwood, IN; and Randy (Paula) Smith, Grand Rapids, MI. She also leaves behind six children: Art (Amy) Bitts, Whiteland, IN; Nancy (Mike) Hopper, Suffolk, VA; Dan (Cathy) Bitts, York, PA; Bryan Johnson, Alaska; Sheila (Alan) Degener, Alaska; and Eric (Weeing) Johnson, Indianapolis. Also surviving her are fourteen grandchildren: Debbie (Wyatt) Luelf, Greenwood, IN; Jeni (Asa) Ayers, Las Vegas, NV; Caitlin Bitts, Indianapolis; Samuel Bitts, Whiteland, IN; Kimberly Hopper and Aaron Hopper, Suffolk, VA; Daniel, Elizabeth, Noah, Hannah and Tabitha Bitts, York, PA; Tim, Chris and Dan Degener, Alaska; and Sebastian Johnson, Indianapolis. She also leaves two great-grandchildren: Hannah and Lydia Ayers, Las Vegas, NV.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1st, 10am-1pm at North Terre Haute Christian Church (3133 E Park Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47805-1803). Funeral will follow at 1pm WITH Pastor Chris McKinney officiating and Pastor Mark Gallagher co-officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed toward North Burma Christian Mission (7101 E. 81st St N Owasso, OK 74055) or North Terre Haute Christian Church.
