Karen May Byrd, 64, passed away Tuesday July 31, 2018 in her daughter's residence. She was a Registered Nurse. Karen was born March 9, 1954 in Terre Haute to Jack Aaron Fortune and Marilyn (Ensminger) Fortune. She is survived by her mother; her husband, William "Bill" Byrd; daughter, Danielle Strole (Jason); sisters, Barbara Farkas (Denny) and Sandy Schoffstall (Paul); grandchildren, Brittany, Brianna, and Raelyn Strole and great-grandchildren, Aurora and Hunter Ann. Graveside services will be Monday August 6, 2018 at 11:00 am in Bethesda Cemetery. Samaritan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
