Karen Joy Sample, 77, passed away on May 10, 2024,  She was born on January 21,1947 in Clinton, Indiana to William Alden Hedges and Ethel Loraine (Conner) Hedges.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary Wayne Hedges, son Tony Ray Trosper II, grandson Michael James Schmitt, granddaughter Karissa Halley Wimberly, and nieces Heather Louise Gibson Walton and Tammi Jo Hedges Helton.

She is survived by daughter, Patricia Brower of Hillsdale, Indiana, son and daughter, Paul and Dawn Brower of Willis, Texas, grandchildren, Ayla Brower (Mike Snodgrass), grandson Christopher Brower, and great-grandchildren Emma Mills, Lyla Mills, Taylor Brower, Kyndal Brower, Trenton Wimberly, and Braxton Snodgrass; sister Hope Ann Hedges, and brother William A. Hedges, II, as well as several nieces and nephews.
