In Loving Memory of Katherine Rose Couch

Born December 10, 1957 in Vincennes IN
She left this earth peacefully at home November 2, 2026

Katherine Rose Couch passed away at her home on November 2, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and memories that will last a lifetime.

Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her two daughters, Katherine of Terre Haute and Phyliss (John) of Mississippi; her six grandchildren, Natasha (Levi), Caitlon, Abygail, John, Dylan (Brooke), and Elizabeth (Nick); 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters Ruby and Maria; nieces and nephews, several others; and her beloved cat, Bella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Idalea; six siblings, Dixie, James, Sarah, Gracie, Donald Jr., and Debra; her granddaughter, Savanah; and her very special friend, Marie.

Katherine spent most of her life working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Caring for others wasn’t just a job to her; it was something she did with her whole heart. She cared for her residents with a level of compassion, kindness, and love that was truly special. She took pride in her work and was wonderful at what she did. Throughout her years as a CNA, she touched countless lives and made a difference to so many people.

When she wasn’t working, Katherine enjoyed the simple things that made her happy. She loved fishing, bowling, and spending time outdoors. She especially enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers, finding joy in watching them grow and bloom.

And if there’s one more thing you should know about Katherine, it’s this: Penguins are cute! As those were her last words!

Katherine leaves behind more than just memories. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love, the lessons she taught, and the countless moments they shared with her. Her kindness, compassion, and love for others will never be forgotten.

Though her time here has come to an end, the impact she made on the lives around her will live on forever. She will be missed more than words can ever express, loved beyond measure, and remembered always.

Forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of life will be held on November 6th from 1:00 pm to 10 pm. At Herz rose park @ 1515 Locust street. Please come by and help us celebrate her life and share memories.
