Kay Newlin Phillips, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Cobblestone Crossings Health Care Campus, with one of her children at her side. She was born in Sullivan, IN, on December 28, 1935, to Harold Medsker Newlin and Hester Marguerite Wilkey. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Larson (Jean-Pierre), Kurt Larson (Lindsey), and Robert Charleston (Patricia); her eight beloved grandchildren, some by blood, all by love; cousins; friends to whom she was a mother-figure and mentor; and many other dear friends. The family would also like to acknowledge the care and loving-kindness of all the fine people at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus, as well as the precious companionship of one very special person. Thank you all for being there.
