Obituary

Kevin Ray Blevens, 63, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away on October 16, 2026, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Wayne Blevens and Marilyn Rose (Shelton) Blevens; his brothers, Richard (Rick) Blevens and Alan Blevens; and his sisters, Edith Blevens and Jamie Blevens.

Survivors include his sister, Michelle (Melissa) McElvain, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

Kevin was a dedicated laborer with Laborers' Local 204 out of Terre Haute. He had a deep passion for sports, especially baseball, basketball, and football—and could easily talk about them for hours. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, and loved following the Indiana Pacers, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oakland A's baseball, and IU Hoosiers college basketball. Kevin was incredibly well-known in his community and truly never met a stranger.

Arrangements were handled by Samaritan Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Terre Haute, with private final adjustments safely under the care of his family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
