Kevin Scott Pohlar, 55, died peacefully at home on September 22, 2026. He was born in Oxford,OH to James Dudley and Alice (Stearns) Pohlar. 

     Kevin graduated from Union County High School in Liberty, IN in 1989 and attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Most recently, he served as the General Manager for 12 Points Public Market in Terre Haute, IN. 

     Those who knew Kevin will remember him for his kindness, his willingness to lend a hand, his love of local venues, live music, and the friendships he built throughout his many years in the hospitality industry. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, friendship, laughter, and countless memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

     Kevin’s memory is cherished by his wife Terre Pohlar; children Keegan Pohlar (Lillian), Emma Pohlar (Brennon and their son Miles), Maddox Pohlar, and Isabel Pohlar; Kevin’s mother and father, Alice and Ray Rayburg; brothers Raymond (Alan) and Robert Rayburg (Beth); mother-in-law Linda, and Terre’s siblings who loved him as their own. Along with so many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who looked up to him. He is preceded in death by his father, James Dudley Pohlar; brother, Brian Pohlar; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Anabel Pohlar; maternal grandparents, Frank and Carolyn Stearns; and aunt Linda Stearns Jewell. Thank you to Elara Caring, especially Kelley, Sarah, Becky and Tara who showed our family so much kindness and love these last few weeks.

A celebration of life is being planned.
