Kristy Lee Johnson, 52, of Terre Haute passed away on February 2, 2024, at Union Hospital.  She was born August 11, 1971, in Tennessee to James "Jim" and Evonda Capps.

She was loved and survived by son Phillip Batchelor (FL), daughters Elizabeth Oster (IN), Ashley Batchelor (Terre Haute), Armisha Capps (IN); six grandchildren Shaunacie, Bryncyn, Jacquees, Zayla, J'Mar, and E'Marien; brother Russel Capps (Crawfordsville), sister Mamie (Waylon) Orndorff (Crawfordsville), and special friend Phillip Ladd.  Kristy was preceded in death by her parents, James "Jim" and Evonda Capps, half-brother Jimmy Capps, Jr., and half-sister Ginger Parish.

Kristy enjoyed spending time with her family and every moment with her grandchildren.  Her favorite hobby was reading, since childhood.  Other activities she enjoyed were watching old shows and playing different types of games.  Kristy also enjoyed exploring different kinds of coffee as well as collecting coffee cups.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024 in the pavilion at Collett Park in Terre Haute from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Prayer will be at 11:45 a.m. followed by serving food and fellowship.  Memory sharing will start at 1:00 p.m.
