Lane R. Melendy, of Seelyville, passed away May 2, 2018. Born in Detroit, on Oct. 19, 1951. He graduated from Wiley High School 1970.
He served as a medic in the Air Force, 1970-1974, Vietnam veteran. He was employed as lead machinist at Ivy Hill, retired after 36 years. Lane was a kind and generous person who never hesitated to offer help to those who asked for it. He had a brilliant mind and keen imagination. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Dr. Earle R. Melendy; and his wife, Vicky Wilson.
Surviving family members include his mother, Gene P. Barclay, sisters Leah and Lori Melendy, brother Luke Melendy; nieces, Mariah and Morgan Welles Melendy and Emma Melendy Williams; stepsons, Lummie II and JC Wilson; and seven grandchildren.
Lane will be cremated and laid to rest with other Melendy family members in Vermont.
