Larry Ray McCullough, Jr., 47, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was born on June 18, 1979, in Terre Haute to Larry Ray McCullough, Sr. and Beverly Franklin Wenk. Larry attended Terre Haute North High School. Throughout his youth he enjoyed playing football and baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman, and he especially loved fishing (no matter how big the fish was, it was the biggest). Larry was a faithful Chicago Bears fan and wasn’t afraid to show it. He had a huge personality with a heart of gold. Being with family and friends brought him the most happiness, especially with his children. Larry was a great dad, uncle, brother, son and friend. He has left a trail of broken hearts.

Larry is survived by his parents, Larry R. McCullough, Sr. (Valerie) and Beverly Wenk, longtime girlfriend Tracy Bennett, his children Payton McCullough (Paige), Hunter McCullough, and Brooklynn Wilson; siblings Kaleel Rivera (Lauren), Ryan Wenk (Amber), Tabitha Sappingfield, Catlin McCullough (Alaina), Jeremy Lewis (Amanda), Katrina Shipley, and Kyle McCullough, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Vernon and Mary Franklin, paternal grandparents Harold “Mac” and Pat McCullough, brother Scott McCullough, sister Kayla Lewis, nephew Landon McCullough, niece Gabrielle Cunningham, and stepfather John Wenk.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Samaritan Funeral Home. Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
