Larry S. "Leaper" Myer, 61, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday September 18, 2016 in the residence of his sister. He was a self-employed construction worker. Larry was born February 4, 1955 in Indianapolis. He is survived by his sister, Robbin Holmes (Paul Stratton) of Terre Haute and her children, David, Tracy, and Brady; a brother, Anthony Sutphen (Alise) of Lancaster, OH and his children, Lindsey, Ashley, and Christopher; many cousins, uncles and aunts, great nieces and nephews, many close friends, and his dog, Buddy. Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Pam Myer; his mother and father, Barbara Wasson and Lawrence Sutphen, and younger brother David. Larry was a veteran and Vietnam War veteran of the US Marine Corps and he served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. As per Larry's request, cremation has been chosen. A family gathering will be Friday September 23, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm with a memorial service at 7:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the family to help offset expenses.
