Leo Charles Gainor, 60, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  He was born October 1, 1962, in Terre Haute to George Gainor and Jessie Bemis Gainor. Leo proudly served his country in the United States Marines and was a member of the American Legion Post #346. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.  Leo was a movie buff and loved sports, always remembering facts and statistics.  He was the Jeopardy Wiz.  Leo loved the simple things in life, like family, good friends and a cold Budweiser. His grandchildren were his world.  He was loved by so many and will be missed beyond measure.

Leo is survived by his daughter Leandra Gainor and husband Brent, grandchildren Keaton, Maryjane, Alyssa, and Serenity, sister Loretta Byers (Don), and brothers Mike Gainor (Vanna), Richard Gainor, George Gainor, and Jim Gainor, as well as several other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Mary, Barbara, Ann, and Teresa.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Samaritan Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial and military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
