Lillian Faye
Brock
August 8, 1939 – May 19, 2026
Lillian Faye Brock, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Towne Park Nursing Home in Brazil, Indiana. She was born August 8, 1939 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Earl Lee Brock and Grace Irene (Townsend) Brock.
Lillian was the loving mother of five children and stepmother to three more. Her life was marked by resilience, deep faith, and a courageous determination to continue growing and embracing new opportunities.
Earlier in life, Lillian was a gifted homemaker who cared for her family through canning, sewing, baking, and creating a home for her large family of eight children. Yet she always carried within her a desire to learn, grow, and experience more. Through faith, hard work, and perseverance, she forged a path that expanded her horizons and touched many lives along the way.
Following her divorce from her husband, Glenn Gillham (1957-1964), Lillian left Texas for California, where she fell in love with the ocean, sunshine, and beauty of the Golden State. California became the place she cherished as home for most of her life. There she married Eddie Graham (1964-1976), and together they welcomed two children while also raising three stepchildren as part of their blended family.
After her divorce from Eddie, Lillian returned to Texas for several years to care for her father. During that time, she married Ben Prickette (1979-1981). Following her father’s passing, she once again returned to California, where she built a successful and meaningful career. Through determination, courage, and a strong work ethic, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix. She went on to serve in various human resource roles before retiring in 2008 as Executive Director of Human Resources at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in Valencia, California.
After retirement, Lillian moved to Arizona, where she spent six happy years. Several of those years she managed her church’s local sandwich and fudge shop, a role she thoroughly enjoyed. Later, she was grateful for the opportunity to return to California. During those years, she lived with family and got to spend time daily with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also volunteered at a shelter for mothers and babies. She eventually faced cancer and chemotherapy with strength, grace, and faith.
Five years before her passing, Lillian was moved to Indiana. Soon afterward, she was diagnosed with dementia and other health challenges. In her final days, she received hospice care and comfort at Towne Park Nursing Home.
Among Lillian’s greatest joys were singing in church choirs, traveling to historical and biblical places such as Jordan, Israel, Colombia, and Europe, and spending countless peaceful hours reading. Above all, she held tightly to her faith throughout every season of her life. Even as dementia slowly took many of her short-term memories, her love for Jesus remained unwavering, and she often shared that she spoke with Him regularly.
Lillian is survived by her sister, Sarah (Brock) Cantwell; her children, Jade (Gillham) Sand, Gary Gillham, Teresa (Gillham) Hessami, and Liana (Graham) Oswalt; her stepchildren, Debra (Graham) Hoffert, Daniel Graham, and Kenneth Graham; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will lovingly remember her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Johnnie Brock; her brother, Jerry Brock; her sisters, Linda Clark and Lorene (Townsend) Twilligear; her daughter-in-law, Cherie Gillham; her sons-in-law, Todd Oswalt and Lee Sand; her son, Jonathan Graham; her grandson, Trenton Graham; and her granddaughters, Jessica Hoffert and Dawn Hoffert.
An intimate family gathering to celebrate Lillian’s life is being planned in Wichita Falls, Saturday, August 8, at 12:00 noon. For more information, please contact the family at LFBcelebrationinfo@gmail.com
