Linda Maxine (Smith) Hollingsworth, 71, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 7:11PM, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Terre Haute on October 1, 1954 to Charlie and Norma (O'Dell) Smith,

She was a retired school bus driver after 38 years with the Vigo County School Corporation.

She married the love of her life, Raymond (Ray) Hollingsworth on June 1, 1974. The were married 51 wonderful years.

Linda enjoyed camping, hanging out with family, driving around the neighborhood on the golf cart, and watching her grandsons (Dawson and Austin) racing.

Linda is survived by her husband Ray, daughter Ashley (Dusty), and son Raymond. Her grandchildren, Dawson, Austin, Desiree (Taylor) and Skyler (Courtney); brother Mike (Beverly), sisters Charlene (Sam) and Susie (Marty), brothers- and sisters-in-law, Carol Ann (Steve), Jimmy (Kim), Debbie, and Margaret (Chuck). She had several nieces and nephews and her adopted family Greg and Kim Waggle.

She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Norma, father- and mother-in-law Raymond Hollingsworth and Margaret Hamm, sister Jackie (Paul), and brother-in-law Steve.

As per her wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2026 from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Shrine Country Place on Shrine Hill. The family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Samaritan Funeral Home.
