Lloyd Vernon Tyler "Wild Child" was born April 28, 1943 in Terre Haute to Raymond Z Tyler and Rachel Emeline Allen Tyler. He departed from his labor on Earth on Saturday February 6, 2016 at 72 years of age. At an early age he moved with his family to Burnett. He attended Fontanet and Otter Creek schools. Later he attended Ivy Tech, studying auto mechanics. He had a life-long love for fixing cars. Lloyd was a logger for many years. Later he worked at Terre Haute Malleable, but always worked on cars. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting, but most of all he enjoyed hanging out in his garage with his posse. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymond Leroy Tyler; two brothers-in-law, Orville Norton, Sr. and Harold Bullard, and one grandson and a granddaughter, Brittney Cameron. Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory, his companion, Donna K. Bell; five daughters, Mischell Jackson-Bailey (Gregory) of Indianapolis, Donna Tyler of Terre Haute, Eartha Humes of Peoria, IL, Angela Tyler (James Wren) of Peoria, IL, and Renee Tyler-Dickson (Deondra) of Peoria, IL; 13 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren; five sisters, Delores Simpson (James, Jr.), F. Diann Bullard, Ethel M. Norton, Raylan F. Dillard (Thomas) all of Terre Haute, and Thelma S. Noble of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Bertie C. Tyler, Sr. (Deanna) and William D. Tyler (Cheryl) both of Terre Haute; a favorite aunt, Louise Stewart and special friend Mary Joann Madison both of Terre Haute and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to numerous to mention. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and visits during his illness. Visitation will be Thursday February 11, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Dr. Rev. Kenneth Ladd officiating. As per Lloyd's request, cremation is to follow.
