Lois Groth, 73, of Terre Haute passed away Monday November 14, 2016 at 8:13 am in Union Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Lois was born June 8, 1943 in Terre Haute to John Lester Roberts and Rose Gertrude (Smith) Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Groth; a daughter, Cathy Sage (Kevin); a son, William Groth (Leslie); three granddaughters, Angela Groth, Jennifer Groth, and Heather Groth; four great grandsons, Kyler, Peyton, Kayden, and Kolten. She was preceded in death by her father, John Roberts and her mother, Rose Gertrude Mann. Lois was a devout Christian, she enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time and playing basketball with her grandchildren. Lois was also part owner of Hapco Crankshafts. Visitation is Friday November 18, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Fagg officiating. Entombment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either St. Jude Children Hospital or Riley Hospital for Children.
