Loretta "Jean" Farr, 97, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, January 14, 2022. She was born June 28, 1924 in Livingston, Tennesee to James Spurrier and Eunice Copeland Spurrier.  Jean and her late husband, William owned an apple orchard and farmed.  She was very active with the orchard and the farm working alongside her husband.  She was a very involved member of the Union Christian Church where she taught Sunday school.  Jean enjoyed painting, crafting, and gardening.  She also participated in charitable organizations including the Lung Cancer Association.

Jean is survived by granddaughter Aymee Harvey (Scott), daughter-in-law Julie Farr, brother Doug Spurrier, sister Billie Repella, several nieces and nephews, as well as many close and special friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Farr, son Thomas Farr, and sister Louise McDaniel.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Highland Lawn Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.  Pastor Mark Grayless will be officiating.  Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
