Lorraine Margaret Hettlinger (Bartholomew), age 85, of Terre Haute, quietly passed away on April 19, 2016 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's and cancer. Her loving family surrounded her at the time of passing. Lorraine was born April 22, 1930 in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania to Wilson and Bertha (Backus) Bartholomew. Lorraine graduated from Allentown High School in 1948. She married Frank in 1952. They moved to Terre Haute, Indiana in 1957.

Lorraine devoted her life to her family, raising her four children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lorraine's hobbies included crocheting, knitting, and cooking. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their retirement years.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister Anna Mae Shick, brother Harry Bartholomew, and grandson Nicholas Hettlinger

Survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Frank Hettlinger Sr, daughter Delisa Swenson (Richard) of Bradenton, Florida, son Frank Hettlinger Jr. (Cheryl) of Bloomington Indiana, daughter Chris Hutchins (John) of Ft. Wayne Indiana, and son Eric Hettlinger (Cindi) of Terre Haute, Indiana and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday. Burial services will be held at Highland Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by the staff of Hospice of the Wabash Valley, especially Wendy and Gwen.
