Marguerite Rose "Peggy" Walsh, 60, of Terre Haute passed away Monday June 3, 2019 at 4:35 am in Community Hospital South. She was born June 8, 1958 in Columbus, OH to Francis J. Walsh and Anne (Hassey) Walsh. Peggy is survived by her sisters, Frances Anne Bailie of Sugarland, TX, Mary Theresa Stone (Eddie) of Morgantown, IN, and Kathleen Marie Kaneko (Osamu) of Honolulu, HI; a brother, Patrick Michael Walsh (Ilah) of Cushing, ME and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. She has participated in the Indiana Special Olympics since its inception in 1969. She has lived for the past 22 years, with the caring staff and her close friends, at ResCare (formerly Normal Life), she attended Happiness Bag and went to the Day Service at ResCare and enjoyed the attentive staff there. Peggy was also an avid bowler and swimmer. Visitation will be Friday June 7, 2019 from 10:00 until 11:30 am in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services at 11:30 am in the funeral home.
