Marilyn Tavon Shouse, 68, of Terre Haute passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, in her sleep of natural causes.  She was born August 13, 1955, in Terre Haute to Andrew Shouse and Matilda Ladd Shouse. Marilyn was a homemaker devoting her time and love to her family.  She lived at Layne Apartments for most of her life where she had made many friends.  She worked at Spectrum through the Hamilton Center. Hamilton Center helped her throughout her life. Her case manager treated her like family.

Marilyn is survived by her sons Lawrence "Lil Larry" D. Allen, Jr., and Kevin "Baby Boy" Allen, sisters Adriane Shouse and Ardenia Davis (Brian), very special aunties Lena Johnson (Hurley) and Ora Martin (Hilbert), special niece Matilda Ellington, and special nephews Andrew Davis and Edwin Allen, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jackie and Kevin, and sister Lora.

Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Banquet Hall beginning at 11:00 a.m. Per the family's request, in lieu of flowers, please donate to First Financial Bank in the name of Ardenia Davis. My Twinkle of My Eye.  First start with my Strength!  My Mother is my rock, my everything, a very outstanding, motivational person that I have always admired, especially her courage.  My mother was very strong, to the point where she went through so much.  She taught me that the struggle is real.  Going through all the pain and suffering from conceiving to receiving a beautiful blessing.
