Marjorie Rose Engle "Rose", formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020  at Clinton Gardens, she was 83 years old.

Rose was born in Terre Haute, IN, April 21, 1937 to Minnie Simmons Barnett and John Michael Barnett. She married, Ernest "Bud" Engle JR. Together they raised three children.

Rose lived her life as a highly independent, determined, and confident woman; as a successful business woman she was an inspiration to women of her era. Rose was instrumental in opening Goodwill Stores throughout the Wabash Valley and surrounding areas. She owned multiple antique-retail stores throughout her life including "My Little Shop", once located in the heart of North Terre Haute's 12-Points area. Her hobbies included re-finishing antiques and teaching other women her trade.  Her drive, work ethic, innovation, and intelligence will always be remembered.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Engle JR. on August 21st, 1995.

She is survived by her three children; son, Ernest "Ernie" Engle III of Terre Haute, daughters, Kelly Engle of Clinton and Kathy Bailey of Terre Haute; sister, Connie Airhart of Brazil; many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of nine and Great-grandmother of twelve.
