Marjorie Trader Lewis Yost, 98, of Terre Haute and formerly of Bradenton, FL passed away Saturday March 12, 2016 in Springhill Village. Marjorie graduated Licensed Practical Nursing School in Indianapolis in 1957 she then became the second LPN to be hired at Union Hospital, working there until 1979. She then went to work as an LPN at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL, from there she went to Manatee Hospital in Bradenton, FL and she also worked at the Walmart Pharmacy in Bradenton for three years. She was born June 21, 1917 in Clinton, IN to Perry Trader and Mary (Dobbs) Trader. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lewis Targett of Staunton, IN; grandchildren, Sherri Targett of Knoxville, TN, Paul Allen Targett (loving companion, Carol Fagg) of Terre Haute, and David Targett (loving companion, Stephanie Driggers) of Terre Haute; great grandchildren, Danielle Arwood (Brandon) of TN, Mary Targett (loving companion, Donald Humes) of Terre Haute, Megan Targett (Tommy) of Terre Haute, Tiffany Dust (Jessi) of Terre Haute, and Lauren Targett of Terre Haute and great great grandchildren, Cayden Arwood, Sophia Arwood, and Jordan Targett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ivan Yost who died April 1998, her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Howard Withers and a niece, Deborah Withers, son-in-law, Paul Curtis Targett. Marjorie was a graduate of Gershmeyer Tech High School, a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of L.P.N. Nursing in Indianapolis, the Eastern Star #43, the Widows Shrine Club of Terre Haute, the American Legion of Oneca, FL, a life member of the Lawton-Byrum Post #972 Ladies Auxiliary, and a volunteer for five years in the ICU Waiting Room at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. The family would like to thank Springhill Village, Heart to Heart Hospice, and Dr. Stockrahm for the wonderful care and love they gave to her. Visitation will be Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. with a Eastern Star service at 12:30 pm, followed by Daughters of the Nile service at 12:45 pm then a VFW memorial service at 1:00 pm followed by funeral services with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery
