Mark Edmund Wilmes, 67, of Clinton, Indiana, reunited with his wife, Carla Wilmes, in Heaven on Saturday, June 6, 2026. He was born to Edmund James Wilmes and Helen Margaret (Lowell) Wilmes in Chicago, Illinois on February 13, 1959.

Mark was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, best friend, world class comedian, hack musician, and a straight shooter. A guy who was always smiling. “The Wilmes” was sure to put a smile on your face too, whether you were ready for it or not. His love and influence will remain with us forever. May he rest in peace.

Mark is preceded in death by his loving wife and both of his parents.

Mark is survived by his son, Scott Wilmes; daughter, Halie Wilmes; step-daughters, Christina Smith and Andra White; brothers, John Wilmes and Arthur Wilmes; sister, Teresa Wilmes; and several beautiful grandchildren.
