Mary Carol Griskey Frederick, 78, departed on July 14, 2024, after a ten year battle with Melanoma.

Carol was born November 19, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Margaret (Tomko) and Albert Griskey. She was a caring older sister to Alan and Arlene (David). In her younger years, Carol spent time with her cousins and cherished those memories with her Pittsburgh family.

Carol found her soulmate through pen pal in March 1970 and later married Larry Frederick on October 3, 1970. Carol and Larry started their family in 1972 with Denise (Michael), followed by Michelle, and completed with Nicole in 1983. She was a caring, devoted Navy housewife and mother who made sure every house lived in was a loving home.

Carol became a Bubbie for the first time in 1991. She adored all of her grandchildren, Kayla (Ethan), Kristina, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Kamryn and great grandchildren Braxton and Landon.

If you walked into Carol's home, you would be greeted with a hug and kiss. She loved holidays when she could have all the family together. She enjoyed gardening, listening to the oldies, campfires with her husband and trips to Pittsburgh.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents and brother.
