We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Mary Esther Grayless, 64, of Terre Haute, who entered eternal rest on April 1, 2023.

Mary Grayless was born August 27, 1958, at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Orville and Anna Louise (Head) Grayless.

She was one in a million; chosen by a higher power to be a second mother to many and aunt to all. She loved her nieces and nephews with her whole heart.

She enjoyed listening to her favorite band, Led Zeppelin, watching I Love Lucy and the Andy Griffith Show, and making the best fried chicken in the Midwest.

She is survived by her siblings, Orville Grayless Jr., Richard Grayless and his wife Margie, Louanne (Grayless) Mize, and Beth Grayless, all of Terre Haute. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews who loved her immensely and will never forget the impact she had on their lives.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brothers Timothy and Gregory Grayless, sister Teresa Grayless, and nieces Tammy Sue Grayless and Sarah Henderson.

To honor Mary's memory, we are holding a celebration of life in the near future. Final arrangements are being handled by Samaritan Funeral Home.
