Mary Alma Hood, 91, of Terre Haute passed away June 21, 2020.  She was born June 20, 1929 in Lewis, Indiana to John N. Metcalf and Alma (Love) Metcalf.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 66 years, Clarence M. Hood; son Daniel J. Hood as well as several siblings.  Mary is survived by her daughters Carol Belfi (Bob) of the Villages, FL and Cynthia "Cindy" Norman (Michael) of Ortonville, MI; son Robert "Bob" Hood (Ruth) of Terre Haute; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Mary and her husband owned and operated the Hood Watch Shop in 12 points.  Mary was a graduate from Wiley High School, class of 1947. She was active in Red Hat Society, Altrusa, Northside Opti-Mrs. Club, where she was a former Treasurer and President.  Mary was a Den Mother and assistant Girl Scout leader, as well as a member of the Wednesday Breakfast Club.  A graveside service for family and close friends will be held on Thursday, June 25 at Highland Lawn Cemetery starting at 10:00 AM.  Steve Moore will be officiating.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, or Heart To Heart Hospice.
