Mary Jean (Stamatien) Sparks passed away on February 7, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice from a nine-year battle with cancer. She was born May 8, 1959, to Aristotle and Frances (Lynch) Stamatien. She attended West Haven High School and Yale University. She was a dedicated healthcare worker most of her working career.

She was preceded in death by her mother, several aunts and uncles, and a cousin. She is survived by her father of Montecello, NY, her husband and partner for over 29 years, Ralph Michael Sparks of Terre Haute, IN, brothers Arthur of Oakdale, CT and George of West Haven, CT, nephews George, Steven, Jason, Michael and Alex, several great-nieces and great-nephews. She loved the water, gardening, and fishing. She also loved to paint ceramics. She was a very compassionate and caring woman. All those who knew her loved her. She will be sadly missed. May God bless her and welcome her into his Heavenly kingdom. Rest in peace, honey. Know that you will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved you.
