Mary Elizabeth Cox Stanfield, age 91, of Terre Haute, died Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was born August 23, 1929 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Commodore Adam and Myrtle Lovene Stevens Cox.  Her husband, William T. (Bud) Stanfield died January 14, 1984.  She retired from Reuben J. Donnelley after 31 years of service.

Survivors include one son Mike Stanfield (Linda), three grandchildren Eric Stanfield (Rhiannon), Maria Stanfield (Andy Long), and Charlie Stanfield (Amber), six great-grandchildren, Ryanne, Tyler, Sydney, Rylee, Mason, and Hunter Stanfield, several nieces and nephews, and one special sister-in-law Mary Ann Cox of Belleville, Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Viola Porter, Louise Secrest, and Lucille Bullington, and two brothers, George Franklin Cox and Commodore William Cox, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Samaritan Funeral Home.  Service will follow visitation.  Pastor Larry Lilly will be officiating.  Burial will be at Durham Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.samaritanfunerals.com.
