Mary Lou Timmons, 69 of Terre Haute, passed away at 5:55 PM on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil. She was born in Paris, IL on April 15, 1946 to Clarence E. Ray and Lucille E. Mott Ray. She was an administrative assistant at I.S.U. and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Douglas L. Timmons, as well as her 2 sons, Billy Joe Henry and Jamie Joe Henry, and 3 step-sons; Jeffrey Timmons, Brett Timmons, and Michael Timmons. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Summer Henry, David Martin, Katie Martin, Nathaniel Henry, Devin Henry, and Dalton Henry, as well as 3 great grandchildren; Mack Bennett, Noah Bennett, and Elijah Bennett. Other survivors include 2 brothers, Tom Ray and Jim Ray, as well as 2 sisters, Joanne Lee and Nema Brown, several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Pete Ray. Funeral services will be held at Samaritan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Aaron Wheaton and Pastor Dennis Ticen officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
