Maurice "Butch" Carr Richards Jr., 65, passed away on March 4, 2024. He was born on June 23, 1958 in Terre Haute to Maurice Richards Sr. and Shirley (Bennett) Richards. He has worked in the construction field for many years. Maurice enjoyed fishing, drinking, and watching the Colts games.

He is survived by his mother, sons Christopher Richards and Derek Richards, brother Michael Richards (Brenda), several grandchildren, 3 nieces, and lifelong friend Jimmy. He is preceded in death by his father.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 11 am at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Chruch. Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.samaritanfunerals.com.
