Max Edward
Shepard
September 7, 1964 – February 9, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Max Edward Shepard, who passed away peacefully at his residence in Spencer, Indiana, on February 9, 2025, at the age of 60. Born in Clay County, Indiana, Max was the son of Alberta Rosemary Shepard and Robert Eugene Shepard Sr.
He is survived by his three children: Dustin Shepard (Lisa), Andrea Shepard (Hahn) (Mike Richards), and Danielle Shepard (Watson). A devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, Max leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Dayton Shepard, Alexandrea Schriver (Shepard), Trinity Shepard, Colton Dwigans (Shepard), Jordan, Abigail, and Cody Watson. His love extends to his great-grandchildren: Avery and Benjamin Schriver.
In addition to his children, Max was a loving father figure to Laura Shepard, Jessica, Jennifer, and Jonathan Morgan. As well as a loving grandfather figure to Xander, Zarion, Jordan, David, Tayla, and Trentyne Morgan.
Max is preceded in death by his parents, Alberta Rosemary Shepard and Robert Eugene Shepard Sr., as well as by his sister Sally Garrett, his Brothers Robert Shepard Jr., & James Shepard. Charles Allen Dwigans, David Morgan, Michael Asbury & Robert Shepard III
Max was a hardworking and dedicated man. As a construction journeyman, he took pride in his work and provided for his family. He was a simple man who found joy in nature, mushroom hunting, spending time by the river, and gathering around campfires with family and friends. His cherished fur baby, Benny, was always by his side. Max had a deep love for riding his Harley and was known for his kind heart, protective nature, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Above all, he found peace and strength in God's word, and we take comfort in knowing that he is now at rest in God's presence.
He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Forever in our hearts.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 - "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me."
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Max at his church, House of Prayer Ellettsville, on February 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at 4100 North Hartstrait Road, Bloomington, Indiana 47404.
