Maxine Nancy Liimatainen Carter, 88, of Terre Haute passed away Friday April 26, 2024 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born May 27, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Ralph Liimatainen and Sylvia (Kahra) Peterson. Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gilbert Carter; daughter, Hilary Ann Carter; sons, Jonathan Eric Carter (Denise) and Jason "Colt" Carter; brothers, Raymond Hunt, Randall Hunt, and Buck Liimatainen; grandchildren, Sydney Carter (Equaisha), Rowan Carter, Duncan Carter, and Lily Carter; great-grandchildren, Kendalynn Ann Carter, London Maxine Carter, Ashton James Carter, Lucille Rose Carter,  Ar'Yianna Jones, and Kyngston Jones; dear friends, Beryle George and Montra Withers, and several nieces and nephews.
