Michael E. "Mike" Whitner, Sr., 50, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday August 16, 2023 in Majestic Health Care of Ft. Wayne. He was born January 24, 1973 in Terre Haute to Robert Whitner and Annie (LaMaster) Lopez. Mike is survived by his daughter, Sierra Whitner; sons, Michael E. Whitner, Jr., Seth Whitner, Jeremiah Whitner, and Julian Whitner; sisters, Bobbie Jo Whitner and Michelle Whitner; brothers, James Lopez (Stephanie), Richard Lopez (Donna), Anthony Lopez (Shauna), Anthony Smith, and Shawn Rogers; grandchildren, Colten, Chance, Mallory, Remy, and Kelvin; nephews, Jeffrey Whitner, Sr., (Brittany Dery), Peyton, Levi, Brandon, Alex, Tyler, and James, Jr.; nieces, Brittney Nutter, Alyssa, and Abby; great-nieces and great-nephews, Bra'ah, Jeffrey, Jr., Jaidn, and Louie. Visitation will be Monday August 28, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in Samaritan Funeral Home with funeral services at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Larry Branham officiating.
