Michael Ray Neal, 62, of Marshall, Illinois passed away April 12, 2019 at the Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  He was born March 9, 1957 in Rantoul, Illinois to William Neal and Marilyn (Snediker) Neal.  Michael was a heavy equipment operator for many years owning his own business and working all over the country.  He once owned his own oil rig in Montana.  He loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting. Michael also served in the United States Army.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Judy Neal; daughters Arin Neal, Holly Navarrett, Cherish Neal, and April Neal;  three grandchildren, sister Kim Neal of Hawaii, brother Richard Allen Neal, step daughters Penny Dotson (John), Debbie Emerson (Randy) and stepson Scott Brown (Lisa).
