Mickey Eugene Moody, 75, of Terre Haute passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. He was born in Terre Haute on March 27, 1951, to Earl Moody and Violet Bedwell Moody. Mickey loved music, especially Elvis. He enjoyed singing Karaoke and dancing. It was a family tradition for anyone celebrating a birthday that he sang to them “Sixteen Candles”. Mickey enjoyed traveling. He also loved to watch Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Mickey and his family loved to go fishing. One of his favorite things was attending any family gathering. He retired after many years from Hulman & Company. His sense of humor was something everyone enjoyed. Mickey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. His presence will be missed immensely.

Mickey is survived by his children, Scott Moody (ShayLea) and Jennifer Moody, grandchildren Shawn Welch, Kevin Moody, Ben Manuel, Aaron Moody, Cameron Moody, Damian Newell, Austin Moody, Alex Moody, Robert Newell, Tyler Russell, McKayla Hochstetler, Billy Gehle, and Brooke Gehle, several great grandchildren, siblings Jack Moody, Fred Moody, Gilda Atterson (Charles), John Moody (Pam), Lonnie Moody (Wanda), and Selestia Light, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Jean Moody who passed away in 2022 and they spent 50 years of marriage together, granddaughter Katelyn Newell, great granddaughter Maelynne, and brothers Bill Moody, and George Moody.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Samaritan Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow service.
